Juror Statement
'It was a pleasure to judge the 81st Annual Exhibition. The individual visions within this exhibition are plentiful. From the literal, to the fantastic, to the minimal, there is something for everyone. Whether you appreciate the expressive, the delicate, the raw, the introspective, the romantic, the explosive, or the bizarre, you will not be disappointed. The selected work is rich in content, color, surface texture, and in mark making. Each piece provides a rich visual adventure to embrace and savor. Award winners surfaced with some ease. Their clarity of vision and concept, their selection and control of materials and etchniques, their inventiveness and their professional presentation was valued greatly. My personal congratulations to each artist selected for this exhibition.
