JURORS STATEMENT
Thank you for asking me to jury the exhibit. It is a difficult task to judge a show with as many different styles as your group submitted. However, I try to evaluate each work by taking into consideration the objectives of each artist and considering how successful he or she has been in being creative in the use of the medium, the design of the pictoral elements to make a strong visual image and make the image a very personal statement. I suggested several honorable mentions because there are never enough prizes to recognize and encourage all artists to keep creating. It is by creating that we are really alive.
